RESISTANCE MUSEUM JUNIOR

Design and production of requisites for the extension of the museum for children from 9-14 years old.The Resistance museum Junior centres around four eye wittnesses: Eva, Jan, Nelly and Henk. These main characters - now at the average age of 82 – had the same age during the war as the current target group of the Resistance museum Junior. The extension is open to the public from October 17, 2013 on. Plantage Kerklaan 61, Amsterdam.

Kunsthalle

Children and artists occupied a remarkable building. Dreams were once staged in its theatre, illusions were screened in its cinema. It served many customers as a building- or office supply store. It hosted advertisement companies and fashion designers. In 2004 it remained empty and served as a starting point for artistic phantasies. Organisation: 'AKKi e.V'. October 18-23, 2004.

 

Koning-Keizer-Digitaal

On occasion of its 10th anniversary, the DoelenEnsemble organized a collaborative project with the SKVR-Open Academy for Visual Arts in the Eduard Flipsezaal of the Doelen, Rotterdam. Saturday May 8, 20O4 at 14 and 16 h.

 

Kinderkunstklas (Junior art class) spring 2004

A group of 9 children from 7-10 years learned several techniques and how to apply of different materials. The program included drawing, painting, lino-cutting, modelling and three-dimensional work. A group of 11 children from 7-10 years learned several techniques and how to apply different materials. The program included drawing, painting, lino-cutting, modelling and three-dimensional work. The course concluded with an exhibition of the individual works on our self-knotted KKK-web. Speechwater

A sound installation made by children as a contribution to the exhibition 'QI-Kunsteiland' (QI Art island) as part of the event 'Waterlife Rotterdam', that took place in the summer of 2003 on the Rotterdam waterfront. Water was the central theme of the program. The Maas river served as a setting. QI, Quarantaineweg 1, Rotterdam-Heijplaat.

The course concluded with the presentation of the K.K.Kletter, a home-made digital typefont and two publications. Kunst im Park (Art in the Park)

4 Sculptors opened up their studio's for 60 art-minded children from 8-14 years. They provided the ideas, materials and tools for the creation of works of art to be developed and built together. The works were finally installed permanently in the Sculpture garden near the Akki-House. Arnold Schalks opened a word- and sound laboratory. In there, art was wrought out of words and texts. Riddles, puns, exciting and unexpected things could be found on signs hidden in the park. A quest with surprising answers. Akki-Haus in the Südpark, Siegburger Str. 25, Düsseldorf. Magic from the Far East

Introduction course of the faculty 'Visual Witching' of the SKVR-Open Academy for Visual Arts / School for Witchcraft / Open Academy for Magical Arts conceived for the next generation of witches and magicians from 8 -12 years as part of the manifestation 'Kids Adventure' in the Rotterdam Ahoy-Hall. Huiskamerproject (Living room project)

Set-building and the production of requisites for two theater projects in the Rotterdam districts Feijenoord and Oude Noorden. Guided by directors Riëtte de Vries and Arianthe Oudshoorn, children up to 12 years made a play of approximately ten minutes that was performed in the children's homes. A project initiated by the SKVR-Open Academy for Visual Arts. December 2000 / February 2001.

Dansen op het water (Dancing on water)

Workshop painting for children (age 8 up to 14 years) linked to the exhibition with the same name in the Rotterdam 'Maritiem Museum Prins Hendrik'. De Nieuwsgierige Aap (DNA)

Contribution entitled 'de Naäaprots' (the ape rock) to an educational project for elementary schools, commissioned by the SKVR-Open Academy for Visual Arts and the Rotterdam CBK (Centre for Visual Arts).
