2020

VERSION 1

On November 16, 2020, I joined the production meeting with MHD director David Prins, business manager Conny van Wijngaard - de Vugt, costume and prop maker Pieter Kooiman, librettist/director Marco Rochette and lighting designer Ronald van Meel. Preferred performance location was an approximately 50 meter wide strip of the Wantij-dike between Vlij and Jeugddorp, of which the slope, stepped into three terraces, would serve as a natural stage.

As a first act, I entered the dimensions of the playing field on the Wantij-dike into a plan and a dike profile, in which the angles of the slopes were indicated.

The site of the Vereniging van fokkers en Liefhebbers van Duitse Herdershonden (Association of Breeders and Enthusiasts of German Shepherd Dogs) (VDH), which is kept as an alternative, was also being mapped out.

For the costume research I initially focused on the 'historical' coloring of the six main characters.

Before the turn of the year I bundled my ideas for the costume design in a dossier.
