Maria, Keizerin van Dordt (Maria, Empress of Dordrecht) is a community project for and by residents of Dordrecht to celebrate the 800th anniversary of their city. The performance, whose premiere had to be postponed three times due to corona, is produced by Muziektheater Hollands Diep and the Big Rivers foundation, both from Dordrecht.
ARTISTIC TEAM: David Prins (direction), Ruud van Eeten (musical direction), Arnold Schalks (costume-, prop- and set design), Pieter Kooiman (costume production), Boy Bastiaans (set construction), Roland van Meel (lighting design), Marc Hoogendam (sound design), Caecilia Boschman & Ingrid van Herk (choral direction), Jan Stroeve en Grace van Gilst (choreography).
PRODUCTION TEAM: Conny van Wijngaard-de Vugt (business management), Arlet Langewender (production management), Mario van Aalst (technical production), Tessa van Verk (publicity and production assistance), Janneke Lindner (stage management).
SOLOISTS: Esther Kouwenhoven (soprano), Jessica Stam-Stakenburg (alto), Pablo Gregorian (tenor), Jaap Sletterink (bass).
