Rossini's secret recipe is a family show after 'Il Barbiere di Siviglia' by Gioacchino Rossini, arranged for woodwind ensemble by Vincenzo Gambaro and with a Dutch libretto by David Prins. Rossini's secret recipe is a mix of instrumental music, spoken word, song and puppetry. It defies laws and ingrained theatrical conventions. Two story lines are set up separately, meet each other again during the show, and get playfully entangled.the story
Anna would love to know how it works: making music with all his complex assets. She starts her journey, looking for answers to this question, when suddenly she ends up in a mysterious place where she meets an old Maestro. She befriends the old man, and together they devise a musical tale of love, excitement and sensation.
