VETTER, a nutritious, musical comedy

'De Nieuwe Nederlandse Operette', founded in 2003, is a professional productional company with its office in Den Haag. The artistic team and the company itself is formed by a combination of experienced specialists and new professional talent. The production 'VETTER' is based on the operette 'Der Vetter aus Dingsda' by the German composer Eduard Künneke and comprises three acts. The libretto was written by Herman Haller and Rideamus, after the comedy by Max Kempner-Hochstädt. The performance of the original operette premièred on April 15, 1921, in Berlin (Theater am Nollendorfplatz). 'VETTER' is spoken and sung in Dutch. The adaptation and translation of the libretto was made by director David Prins.
