De op het kunstwerk aangetroffen watervlo Daphnia longispina doet ons vermoeden dat het hier een gezellig, niet al te diepgaand kunstwerk betreft. maar de kleine ciliaten die tevens door de afbeelding aangetrokken werden zorgen ervoor dat we dit toch als een meer dan middelmatig werk mogen beschouwen. Met vergelijkbare indicator soorten als in het werk van Van Reek, maar doordat het net een andere verhouding watervlo-trilhaardier heeft is dit werk als minder licht en minder levendig te beschouwen.

The water flea Daphnia longispina we encountered on this drawing leads us to the presumption that we here deal with a pleasant, not too profound work of art. The small ciliates attracted by the image however indicate, that we may consider this work a more than mediocre creation. Though comparable indicator types were found on the work of van Reek, this work is to be considered less light and vivid because of the different proportion of water flea and ciliates.
